A stripper has to be built on a quality strong back. A stripper needs carefully sawn forms. A stripper needs these components to be carefully assembled so that the hull will be true and fair. A stripper need to be carefully covered with strips and then 'glassed inside and out.
S&G hulls don't need any of that stuff.
Stripper hulls have much more pizzaz but that's their only strong point. The down side is they take about three times as long to build.
If you can surpress your artistic urges then S&G is the way to go.
