Just like Bruce in the post above, learning to wet out glass from a book is 10 times harder than doing it with someone experienced at your side. It's like riding a bicycle--not all that hard but you have to learn by experience. The other advice you got is good and will get you back on track to a pretty boat. Wait for the epoxy to cure and sand the hell out of it. Don't worry of you touch the glass in a few places. Dust throughly and brush on a generous layer of epoxy (but not so much that it drips) You should be ready to do a light sanding when the epoxy cures and then start varnishing.
