Hi everyone!
First I would just like to thank all the regulars and Nick for keeping this great learning space going, i have lurked more hours than my employer would like to know :-)
Saturday we lowered my first attempt at S&G to ground level and took it for a short test. It is a slightly modified Merganser 16 hybrid. This hull is built out of lauan, taped seams only, and is just for learning the techniques involved and trying out modifications, less than 25h work in total.
The real kayak will have divinycell/carbon-kevlar hull and wood stripped deck, I will try vacuum bagging to save weight.
