I'd love to see comments about this. We (my wife and me) have finished building two S&G Arctic Terns, and although we love the boats, they're way too overweight. I believe the main reason was that we wanted them to be very strong and put too many loaded coats of epoxy, inside and outside..

I'm currently about to start a Guillemot (in a month or so) and one of my main goals is to make it very light (less than 42 if possible). Reading in Nick's book he reccommends 2-3 coats of epoxy in the hull (does this match what other builders are currently doing)
