: That would be great - hope it works. Maybe that's the *reason* you didn't
: know about those rapids last year?
Well, I'd rather "reason" found a better way to teach me some things. I'll say one thing though, in the school of hard knocks, it's very difficult to forget a lesson.
On the rebuild, I've managed to be delayed but I finally got the bow sheer joint repaired. It looks good! I'll be applying a final coat of epoxy to fill out a few dints in the armour tonight then THursday night she'll be glassed. I was delayed because I moved the kayak into my mother's garage. I went to go wrok on it two days ago only to learn that she wasn't home (she said she would be) and the garage was locked with no key available. Today she's getting me a copy of the key so I'll be able to keep working on it undisturbed. I rebuilt the seat and shold have it glassed tomorrow as well. I have to stop by Donnies to pick up some 3/4" ply to build the riser. I'll ahve to be creative with thtat because of the wider opening. I'm sore tempted to launch it this weekend, unfinished, just because I'm so excited to see it back on the water.
Are the fingers better or are they in plaster casts full of salve ? What stage are you at now?
