I should have kept that post short and to the point and simply said that I had tried epoxy and fiberglass on nylon and liked it, but didn't know how well it would hold up over time... instead, I get excited and start typing. My fingers can easily go twice as fast as my brain and before you know it the message gets posted. Right then is usually when I say to myself, "that sounded stupid, should have just said..." but it's too late.
Truth is, many of the stunts I try, don't work. Or worse yet, they appear to work, but backfire later. I've posted many of these flops only to come back later with my tail between my legs and explain how I screwed up. In this particular response regarding epoxy on nylon, I should have confessed that I'm excited about the process and the finished appearance, but have no clue as to how well it will hold together, BUT I would sure like to see other SOF builders try it (as a test) and see what they think. I guess what I typed was a verbose way of advocating more tests. Just my way of avoiding the dreaded "Don't try this at home" warning. Even though trying new things is half the fun.

PS-I re-read my own post again, and it does sound stupid. I'm kicking myself as I type. Must...(ouch!) keep... posts... (ouch!!) short...(ouch!) and... to... (ouch!) the... point.
