Aurel,
The free download is called "Cheap Canoe", is only 13'6" and is intended to be a solo boat. For $10 they sell a new version called "Nice Canoe" which is 15'10". They are pirogues but will handle low class white water and other difficulties if you take time to get acquainted with their peculiarities.
I paddle a "Cheapie" and can attest to it's excellence. Mine flew off my truck and landed on the Ohio Turnpike. Fortunately, it stayed connected to the truck so I was able to drag to the shoulder before any other misfortions occured. Lots of road rash but no busted seams.

: Jim,
: bateau.com has free plans you can download for a S&G canoe
: Don't know if this will serve your needs but the price is right.
: Seems like a servicable design to my un-trained eye although I guess it's
: more of a flat bottomed pirogue. Semantics?
