Dale,

Both the Silver and Spring Run track considerably stronger than the Guillemot, with the Silver being slightly less stable and the Spring Run more stable than the G. My wife has a Silver and likes it a lot. We paddle extensively in Puget Sound in all conditions, often 15 miles, sometimes 25 miles. Her boat is very efficient for what we do. We also spent 2 weeks camping in the Queen Charlottes, which means the boat holds enough gear if you leave the cast iron dutch oven at home. If she wants something more maneuvverable, then the G will fit the bill, or possibly a Redfish King. The King might be a bit large. Joe Greenely could answer that question better. Or maybe he will finish his downsized king design (hint, hint).

: I finished the Night Heron for myself this summer and love it. Now I am
: gearing up to build a stripper for my wife. She's about 5'8" and 160
: lbs and a skilled canoe paddler but a novice kayaker. I liked Nick's
: design and plans so am leaning toward the Guilemot for her. Any opinions?
: I am also considering The Silver or Spring Run. Can anyone compare these
: boats to the Guillemot? Are there any other boats I should consider?
: Thanks,
: Dale
