Well Lee, you have a point there. I was thinking in terms of a hull like the King, Mariners, and One Ocean Kayaks, where you transition from rounded v-sections forward to harder chines midship aft to a pronounced keel shaped stern. Maybe that could be achieved with more panels. Vaclav did a very impressive design with just four hull panels in the Cirrus. I suppose with more internal forms and more panels, you could go from round to hard-chine to skeg stern. I don't know of a current S&G design that completely pulls that one off.
