The convential wisdom is that a quick wack on the form with a malet sheers the hot melt glue. It is much easier to do this if you use an external strongback. Others have used a flexable rule jamed between the forms and strip.

: well naturally. On my previous boats I removed most of the hot glue before
: totally enclosing an area of the deck and then pried the deck off to glass
: the hull with good results, but perhaps there's an easier way.
