Here's my technique.
* I tape the entire edges of the forms prior to building the kayak to help keep the wood from trying to permanently bond to the forms.
* Build the hull.
* Glass the hull.
* Turn it over and do not loosen the forms.
* Tape the edges of the hull to keep the deck from sticking to it.
* Put wax paper in each of the bays between the forms to keep the wood glue from dripping on the inside of the hull when gluing the deck pieces. This will save a lot of work sanding/scraping the inside of the hull.
* Build the deck, but minimize the use of hot melt glue.
* Tape plastic to the sides of the hull to keep the deck epoxy from running onto the hull.
* Glass the deck.
* VERY CAREFULLY pry up the edges of the deck, and the centerline of the deck by reaching into the cockpit.
* Once the deck is removed the forms can be removed from the hull by rapping them with a closed fist or mallet toward the middle of the kayak.
* The end forms may have to be taken out in pieces, but can usually be taken out by prying up from the end. For example, lifting up at station 2 on a fore/aft form that goes from station 0 to 2.
