: I had to grimace and look sideways trying to imagine you guys cutting and
: trying to remove the paper after using the spray adhesive on it. I could
: see all the trouble coming. I am wondering why it is that you thought to
: use spray adhesive anyway. I am thinking that the integrity of the okhume
: as an epoxy-grade gluing surface would be compromised somewhat if you
: contaminated it with another adhesive, especially something so temporary.
: I it was Kurt who had a good idea with that, to use a straight pin and
: poke holes along the edges of the paper forms. Just a thought.
It was my idea. I have used spray adhesive successfully for this kind of work. Although not for as large a project. However I realize there is a risk that it may be hard to take off. It depends somewhat on the adhesive. Behlen makes an adhesive specifically for this kind of work: http://www3.woodcraft.com/Glue/woodworking/7250.htm and there are other hardware store adhesives that should work and still peel fairly easily.
One thing I would recommend now is that the wood be pre-sealed over all with epoxy so any adhesive clean up is easier. (ie you can use solvents such as mineral spirits.)
