If there is a Harbor Freight in the area, they sell a plastics welding kit, if you order online you'd have to pay for shipping. Never used it, so I can't comment on how well it does or does not work. Use the item number below and link below to check it out to see if it is the approach you want to go. They frequently put it on sale for around $20, right now it looks to be approx. $40.

If you decide this is what you need, scroll down the page and you will see the recommendation for the 50 pc. welding rods, I do not believe the above kit comes with them, so you'll have to order them too.
