: Mineral spirits should be OK, but I prefer lacquer thinner which is said to
: be more "pure". But an advantage of the epoxy is to seal the
: wood up so you don't end up forcing dissolved spray adhesive into the open
: grain. Again this probably is not a problem. In the end I just think epoxy
: sealed wood will just be easier to clean than non-sealed wood.

i use(d) spray glue fairly big time (on 3 partially blt yaks!) for form pattern gluing on ply(semi-permanent) to panel patterns on sealed(temp) to patterns on unsealed panels(temp and perm).

the best way is to lightly spray only the back of the pattern, then let dry to amount of tackiness desired(as i always overspray) and only then put down(or in pces - fold up 1/4 spray, dry, place - next 1/4 and so on as roll out). don't ever spray the finished or to be finished wood.

then cut right next to the outline w/ a razor knife so whatever saw is used does not fray the paper edge and lose the line.

even sealed ply is not a mirror surface so requires solvent type cleaning if screw up to get betw grain or roughness also, so best to be careful there too.

but used it often - if don't like a panel or pattern, spray glue down some trace on either, then sketch new shape, razorcut then saw/resaw. (seem to remember ripping off some panels and redoing something like that last nite!)

for a more perm bond, spray both surfaces, but depends on the spray and spraytype - can get a few diff types for diff types gluing.
