I bought a larger 6" ROS, a two-hander, from Home Despot's line of Ridgid tools. The sander appears to be a Metabo (German-made, high quality) dressed in orange and black. However, the brake system for the pad is completely non-functional. I took the unit back and exchanged it for another one, but the same problem is there. The disc pad accelerates to max rpm when removed from the surface, the opposite of what it should do. I'll be returning this one, too, but I'm in the middle of finishing three boats, and I bought $150 worth of 6" discs already!
So the question is, "What's yer favorite big ol' ROS?" (Gotta have a good vac attachment port on it).
