Why not make a pattern from your rim setup and create a bending form away from the boat?
Then you can do as Myrl suggested and steam, bend and clamp all the parts you may need without the risk of jacking-up your boat or the epoxy. When the parts are dry they will easily bend to fit the combing setup on the boat with hardly any real pressure needed.
A simple plywood form with a pattern lifted from the boat is the trick. Make the bend radius just slightly smaller than the actual part you need to produce to allow for the spring back of the strips once they're off the mold.
