I did a little epoxying late thursday night to fill in some cracks in the unfiberglassed hull. Unfortunately it went below freezing that night and the epoxy was still a little tacky the next morning. Worse is that Saturday morning it was still not cured enough to sand without immediately clogging the 40 grit paper. I've been using WEST system epoxy for years but this was my first attempt to use MAS epoxy. I thickened it with CAB-O-SIL and a little bit of phenolic micro balloons. For the past 3 or so hours I moved it outside and let it warm up wrapped in plastic in the sun. After this time it didn't seem to have cured much (it was at least 80 degrees inside the plastic).
Any Help??????
P.S.
This has evolved into a high school "independent study" called Nautical Engineering. Wow, I am good! The website shows some of my progress.
