Yeah, I did it. I raised the fore deck a little ... it's no big deal. Just determine which stations you wanna raise the deck at, cut 'em in half at the shear line and add a spacer of the appropriate thickness. Note that this will make the shear line at those stations a tad flatish but you'll fair it out when you sand. Note though that it's still a low volume boat ... I wear size 10's and use Yakima's and I still wish I had more wiggle room for my feet. I'll transition this winter to a foam bulkhead foot brace which should work much better.
I haven't paddled a King but as to my OI ... I wish it was a bit less of a tracker but in rough water ... I just bloody love it!
