All you Quebecois have to do to get first class BS1088 is to jump the Ottawa River and go to Noahs in Toronto. They sell premier plywood made by Bruynzeel in Holland. It is just as "commonly" available as Jouber. So is Bourget(France) and Shelman (Switzerland). Unfortunately all these brands cost a lot.
If a hull is made with plywood that is top grade it doesn't need to be concealed under a layer of glass and epoxy. BS1088 is quite strong in any thickness. Adding a lot of goop and glass will turn a rocket into a stone.
