: Thanks Kurt. It was 90 degrees on friday, sunday I woke up to 49 degrees and
: rain. The little mini-Bash went off pretty good anyway. Boats started
: arriving 4 hours early and didn't leave until it got dark and started
: sprinkling again. I haven't yet written up details about the gathering,
: but I have posted some pictures on my site. As usual I got caught up in
: studying the boats and didn't take as many pictures as I should have. If
: anyone has more and would like to post them on my site, just let me know.
: Members of my site can also have their own albums. I haven't made comments
: on most of the pictues yet, so if I've made mistakes or the owners would
: liket to add their own comments, there is comment feature when viewing the
: pictures. We got to see some very nice, very interesting boats. I saw some
: truly good and innovative work. I'm looking forward to the next Texas
: Kayak Builder's BASH in the spring.

Hey Gerald,
Sorry I missed the bash... We were about to leave San Antonio when it started pouring here and the wife nixed the deal. I almost left by myself but I was at the point of diminishing returns between the wife and kids.

Looks like the weather was better in S. Austin since it rained here pretty steady the rest of the day in San Antonio. I ended up doing some more work on the boat and finished the rails and cut out some more of my PITA bubbles from my poor initial layup.

I look forward to the next one. I plan on running the SMS in Dec so I'll probably see you then.

Hey, if you decide you want to do a training run on the San Marcos, email me and I'll run it with you / share shuttle! I can do it almost any Sunday and almost any Saturday after about 11:30.

The same goes for anyone else who wants to run 16 mile course on the San Marcos from city park to Staples dam (and don't mind running it at about a 3-3.5hr pace)
