Texas is pretty much the same way....mostly plastic SOTs. However I may have infuenced a few people to get into a sitin. Up until I had my little gathering sunday it was extremely difficult to find other handmade boats. I got to see some good ones. I'll keep working on the Texas end. Lots of good builders here.
