: 3 hour pace! Well...ok, but I'm not going to run the Martindale Dam (I'll
: portage it). Sunday is about the only day I have off, so it'll be on a
: sunday. I'll get in touch with email and we can set up a date when both of
: us are off. Water's getting cool!

Actually, I believe your 3:41 Jr Safari time is probably a pretty good pace for me.... I'm not sure since I'm still in my inflatable. Couple weeks ago I ran the lower Guadalupe approx 20 miles in approx 4.5 - 4.75 hrs (can't remember exact time right now) and my buddy who ran it with me was in a bigger/slower inflatable and we also stopped and floated a bit to have a couple beers, so I THINK that's a good pace for me. I'm actually anxious to find out!

I'm not going to run martindale dam either anymore, I think I learned my lesson!

If your still thinking of building a portage cart and you want some plastic wheels off a powerwheels car let me know and I'll bring you a couple. I have 2 of those cars that the kids have outgrown and don't work anymore I'm gonna strip for parts/projects. The only problem I see is they are hollow and may fill with water, then they would be REALLY heavy .

OK, I'll take further discussions of this to email now.....
