i have noticed that doorskin is way harder to cut (razor knife) and bend in the last few yrs - (2-3x harder cutting, way stiffer and unable to take any substantial bend) . if one has a moderately curvaceaous boat to build, i strongly suspect it would be way more difficult to unfold and twist with this crap luan than with okume(which i have not tried). some of the face grain plies i've tried are just as bad if not worse.

daren, any scraps of okume around that we can play with?
