The photo shown here is of a couple of test panels made with 4 oz E glass and 4 oz S glass, taken in sunlight (4 oz plain weave E: BGF style 1522 - 24x22 with a 2-ply twisted yarn, and 4 oz plain weave S: BGF style 6522 - 24x22 made with a 2-ply twisted yarn). The side shown had two layers each, and one fill coat. What the photo shows is the difference in appearance between E glass and S glass. Both are clear, but the weave in the S glass is more visible. Some of the effect in this image is the interference (Moire) pattern caused by the two layers. Single layers of S glass simply show the repeating pattern of the weave.
