: Team
: Sorry for the incessant yammering on the progress but we're stitching
: tomarrow after two partial days of work. Yesterday was a relook at all the
: scarf joints and adding matched okoume veneer to make the scarf joints
: disappear on the outside panel peices. This was completed today and we
: then turned our attention to beveling the edges of the panels to ready for
: the assembly of the hull tomorrow in the morning and laying in thickened
: epoxy. I'll be adding a removeable keel and a bow rub strip attachment
: strip into the bottom of the hull complete with S/s t-nuts. At this rate
: we;ll be applying the CF into the hull by Thursday then asemble the deck
: for glassing the day after. More later including lessons learned and
: better ideas.

Hey, I got mine done yesterday. The rebuild is, for ht emost part, completed except for the final smoothing, graphics and graphite coating on the bottom. I'm not launching because it's snowing over here. I'll wait until the snow stops then get some shots of the launch. I like the removeable keel idea, I'll be doing that to the VJ during the winter.

: As an aside, I'll be coming and going the next few days as I'll be turning my
: house over to the Jensens, a family who lost their home in the recent
: fires. Their in-laws and most friends live back east and they need a place
: to call home till things get settled.

A medal for you, Mike, for reaching out to those in need. I heard that if those two fires out there meet in the middle you'll have a firestorm: that's an very frightening, ugly scenario. How close is it to your place now?
