If you seal the inside and manage to get it glassed up to the very tip, then you don't need an end pour at all.

The problem is ensuring the ends are indeed well sealed. Endpours acomplish this through simple mass. Why not drill a small hole in the deck, right at the end, and drop in a few ounces of resin right on top of where you need it. Then you can plug the hole.
