I can vouch for all the above. At the Texas Kayak Builder's Mini-Bash last Sunday, I got to paddle Gerald's boat along with several skinnier sea yaks. I had no problem handling any of the boats I played in, but still the "G-1" was my favorite. But then, I am a fisherman too.

I major shocker for me was that my CLC Mill Creek 13 compared favorably to the field, at least as far as I am concerned. At a pudgy 13' x 29", I thought I would come away with a bad case of envy. Instead, I have renewed satisfaction in it even though I would prefer a little shape to the hull's flat bottom.

Yeah, let's hear it for "fat-boy" kayaks!
