Re: S&G: Onlay artwork
In Response To: S&G: Onlay artwork (Gary)
: My question is: does anyone think I will have a problem using a paper backed
: veneer (glued under a glass layer) or should I try to find veneer without
: a paper backing?
I always assumed that the paper backing was to hold the veneer together
whilst cutting to shape (for marquetry). Isn't the idea that you glue the
veneer down with the paper outwards and then sand it off or remove it with
a solvent ?
