: Hi Roland -

: I'll check on the width when I get home and let you know. I would guess it's
: around 18-20" wide. They are very comfortable seats and can be
: further padded with foam if you want. The seat is stitched and glued just
: like the hull. No tape, one small fillet at the joint where the bottom of
: the seat meets the front at a right angle, but the whole thing will be
: covered top and bottom with a layer of glass, just like the hull.

Thanks Paul, glad to hear the contoured seat is comfortable. Robert C Pruden had only one complain on his long journey about this seat and that was the foam went flat on it. So yes, if you could measure the width for me that would be great. Also, is the seat installed flat or slightly higher in the front? I build my CLC, narrow hull 5 % smaller then the blueprints and the seat needs to be mounted low for stability. So I’m trying to figure out if it would fit. I already contacted Waters Dancing for prize and it’s very reasonable. An additional nice future on their kayak is the stained upper shear panel.
