No problem, the epoxy softens at a much lower temp then you can burn the wood. Just start at an edge, heat slightly then slide something between the wood and glass. Once its loose grab the glass with pliers and slowly lift while heating the epoxy in front. I helps to cut the glass into strips if you have a wide area to do. Scary how little heat softens the epoxy, makes you wonder about leaving the kayak out in the hot sun to long. The epoxy hardens again as soon as it cools without effecting its properties. You will be left with a seal coat on the wood which will have the same pattern as the glass. Quick sand, good clean and your ready to reglass.

I'm marooned on Waiheke Island in the Gulf. The last lot of glassing I did was done on a sunny day just as temps started to fall and the same problem still happened. Need more glass which I won't receive till the weekend, so hopefully the good weather will be here by then.
