I don't really get where you're going here. It's not only possible to do a hard chine hull in strip; it's quite easy. If the stations are chined, just strip to the form and don't lean on the ROS when you get to that part of the design.
I've been building all sorts of hard edged spray rails, design features and scultptural effects into my boats and hard edges are just another part of the potential.
If I'm way off base on this, please get back to me and clarify your meaning. When I read stuff in the morning, it sometimes means something else in the afternoon.
