Chris,
Rightly or wrongly I assumed that the writer was a neophyte with strip technology and took the safe course of suggesting it wasn't the way to go. Despite what I said I never considered it impossible but a project requiring expertice a first timer wouldn't have.
If the writer had said he had a couple of boats under his belt I would have held my tongue.
From the comments I got I think I would have been wise to hold my tongue.
