carbon is weird,,when I did my manic panel whacking one of them was the 2" 11oz unidirectional carbon tape that JR Sweet sells. When bending a 4mm ply panel with a strip of tape on it it took a lot of effort to snap but it all came apart at the edge of the tape,,with Psycho like stabbing with the big philips screwdriver I couldn't poke through it compared to the 6oz s-glass. I don't know, it's just weird stuff that makes sense as one unit but it's such a different material than wood, when it goes it separates from the wood. S-glass has more give and seems to want to stay with the wood throughout the various modes of failure. I wonder if it's worth it compared to s-glass for handlayups
