: Robert-

: Are you making the high- or low-volume version? I love my NH but I really
: wish I'd made the low-volume version. The high-volume is a nice kayak, but
: it's not as exciting - long, low and lean - as it could have been.

: On the other hand, to compensate I'm going to make a SOF this winter.

: my $0.02.

: BTW - did you ever make the ginger beer?

I'm leaning towards the high version. I haven't made any final decisions yet but it is not my intention to use the yak for any long treks, so maybe I'll consider the low version.

I haven't made the ginger beer yet but I did buy the ginger root. I really haven't had time to do anything with it yet because of my big rush to get the rebuild done. I'm figuring once the river finally freezes up I'll tie into the process of brewing me some. I was out today and had a heck of a time jostling around the ice cakes to find a way upstream. Alack! My season for paddling is almost done. No worries, I have a lot of building to do in my mom's warm garage. :)
