: I have had the great luck of gaining access to about 20 Port Orford (white)
: cedar trees. These trees died several years ago when the root rot was
: going around my home town area. Anyway my problem is cutting them up into
: slab for use. Do any of you know of an easy to build mill that I can use
: my chain saw on to plank these things? The biggest one is about 24 inches
: at the base, I will cut them to 20' lengths before sawing, shorter if
: needbe.

: Thanks for the help

How does Port Orford White cedar compare to Atlantic White Cedar in terms of weight, strength, etc.? I understand it tends to have more knots, but is it just as light and strong?
