I am not the most experienced paddler here but I read all the threads and I believe the behind cockpit bungees shouldn't just be an X shape. It is more important to have the bungees running parallel to the sheer line. When used for a paddle-float re-entry the paddle will be well held in place by this type of setup. I got to test that one last summer and it worked fine.
As for the deck lines some paddlers don't want to have lines running past the cockpit area. A struggling paddler turned swimmer will want to grab the line at that location and quite possibly grab a hold of you if he/she is panicking. I would stop the lines a bit in front of the cockpit and re-start a bit behind the cockpit.
Oh yes, the boat looks really good.
