: gents , i was wondering: when i've a good kajak ,an old one ,wich they don't
: producze anymore since 15years and i would try to make it in s&g way :how
: to make a plan, pattern ? it's not so simple as i thougt ;i hope this b b
: could help in leading me in the right way ! gr jos

the time involved in generating good s&g patterns(without experience and software) from an existing rounded shaped boat would be quicker and way easier spent by straight form takeoffs, 1/4-3/16" offset, stringing on or above a strongback and just stripping it out.

basically anything you can do in plastic or fibreglas, you can resemble in wood, its just tougher to make the appropriate decisions in s&g.
