: Would wax paper work better than Saran wrap?
Wax paper is usually the material to use (rather than saran wrap) when you want a removable boundary between two parts you are joining with contact cement. If the contact cements hae negligible "tack" you can use bond paper, or even newsprint. For an even stronger boundary layer, look at "freezer paper", a coated paper product found at the grocery store in the same aisle as the plastic wraps and wax paper.
When using these paper produts to separate your pieces, fold the paper in half and insert the creased edge into the deepest recess, or least accessible area. that way you'll have the two ends stiking out where they are most accessible. Pull on one or the other (or both) and you should be able to remove the boundary paper without too much difficulty. Of course, if your boundary paper sticks (even slightly) to the contact cement you'll have a battle removing it, so test your materials before you commit to using them on a project.
Good luck with this.
