I've just put the first coat of varnish on my Chesapeake and found a couple of cloudy areas in the epoxy, one is just a general area near the rear of the kayak and the other looks like a cloudy run in the epoxy.

Any thoughts from you all on what may have caused this would be appreciated. I've decided to continue on with the varnishing and just live with the cloudy areas.

It is amazing the change in the look of the kayak when you get the first coat of varnish on.
