I think it is like some people doing mods on cars a bit backwards, seems like you are trying to detune a 911 and make it a 300d,lots of other kayaks out there to build. I just added a surf board fin and go play in the waves.When I drop in the 2'to 3' it is a blast going under the water on the bottom turn with great control. It is a very in the momnent kayak to paddle,if you stay with it is sooo easy but can get on the wrong side of the timing. I am 6'1 and 200lbs with 11's and it's a nice fitted glove.
