Thanks. It was the 16' whitewater canoe. I'm assuming the black walnut made it a little heavier than if I'd used cedar. It weighs about 85#. I used 6 oz. fiberglass and Raka epoxy. I'm not planning on any long portages so weight is not too important for this boat. It was really fun to build, but one real important thing I learned was to do as much of the sanding outdoors as possible. My wife is still blessing me for doing this in the basement. My kayak will be done in my new workshop in our garage andI'm gonna do as much of the sanding outdoors as I can.
