Steve,

Check out the Waters Dancing S&G seat. I've used it on extended paddles (940 kms or less) without any discomfort. It's a tractor style design that you can line with closed cell foam for increased comfort. I use two layers of foam on mine, seat and back rest. It sells for about $ 39 cdn. Go to the "Choosing Your WD Kit" menu, the image of the seat is there.
