I thought I would share a photo of the deck that a customer is undertaking in the shop. The spirals are two differnt types of inlayed mahogany veneers continuing down each side of the deck and culminating in a joined spiral at each end. Each spiral takes about one hour to chisel out and glue in place (there are 40 of them). That is of corse not taking into account for breakage since the veneer is being bent down towards the sheer line.
