My impression of it from 9yrs ago was that it was big inside and very efficient on the water,,the depth/width is kind of out of fashion. If you're 5'10"+ and around 180-225 and want something that can still carry 60lbs easily it's in the ball park. If you're thinking of a kayak for a smaller person it's a bit big. I paddled 10mi. from Bolinas to the GG. Bridge next to a fellow who weighed 225 and he was faster than I cared to paddle (which really isn't saying much) but very relaxed looking in big waves. The straight keel makes the boat feel kind of unresponsive but it works,,having the overall length under 16' seems to make the straight keel more manageble than a slightly rockered and skinny 18' kayak of similar volume simply because of the shorter lever working against your body and that the boat is floating where the water hit's it on the ends,,as opposed to a slender bow getting whacked before it gets floated in a wave.
