This thing is going to look fantastic with any of the fabrics that you have chosen. I think the combination of orange/blue would be my favorite. From my experience, I believe the orange w/yellow will become even more vivid (although darker), but the blue fabrics will lose some of their detail. They will both darken considerably, but that should be just fine. A white tinted epoxy undercoat, may be just the ticket to keeping the colors bright. Another thing to consider is these fabrics will show other colors behind them as well, which may give you even more options. A pale yellow under the orange #4 will enhance the yellow in the pattern or a baby blue epoxy under any of the blue fabrics may have the look you're after. Many fabrics are so translucent that they will even show the wood grain behind them. May look cool, maybe not. One thing that does not look good, however, is if you overlap two pieces of fabric, they sort of blend together, and doesn't look very attractive.

I seriously think that cotton fabric opens up a whole bunch of opportunities to dress up kayaks/paddles in a way that gives off a professional, almost manufactured appearance that's difficult to acheive otherwise. A thin coat wet layup seems to work the best, then just squeegee or dry brush the fabric in place. If you put it on thick, it will absorb an incredible amount of epoxy and float just as glass does. Squeegee is key to a light layup with cotton cloth.

The most important thing to remember is to test a small swatch with epoxy first to see what the fabric will look like.
