On last yak I ran out of tape and cut my own from scraps to make the coaming, some straight and some bias, and they both frayed - I can't imagine trying to wet and roll it, and then unroll it on the inside shear seam! But then with tape you got the hem sticking up and needing feathering. There must be a better way! Ummm, how about a sheet rock kayak with paper tape and joint compound??? Or better yet, GoreTex!
: Why not make your own bias tape, it really isn't that hard. From by
