: Are you forwarding these to the abuse@ for each one?
I might do that for some spam, but I know that 80-100 emails a day are being
killed off by my spam-filtering software - that doesn't have an automated
way of forwarding stuff to abuse@...
And huge amounts of stuff is spoofed so that it takes quite a lot of poring
over the full headers and doing DNS lookups just to find the true place of
origin. And 99.9% of the time, the place of origin has already gone, because
the posting place was only inhabited for just long enough to put the spam
through some open mail relay.
: ie: abuse@yahoo.com , abuse@msn.com and so on.
I have to say that any and all mail from yahoo.com, msn.com, hotmail.com
and a few others are automatically dropped. Those ISPs are so bad that I
simply assume that no-one with genuine email to send would be stupid enough
to use them...
