I have just cut the strips do make up the coaming lip. There was a picture of a cross-section of a "standard" lip posted on here some time ago. It stated that the lip should be 1/4" thick by about 3/4" wide.

Having cut some strips, 1/4" seems quite thin, is this correct ?
