...solution. This was the first idea that popped into my head and Steve got it in writing before I could. Acrylic paint should be ok. I know that Tremclad works beautifully, too but I am not totally sure how well epoxy will stick to it. I see no reason why it shouldn't work. If you're just otuching up the thin lines where the epoxy went into the grain it should be ok. You can buy very fine brushes to do the touch-ups. Art stores have an awesome array of brushes from soft to very stiff bristles, so you should be able to find what you need. Do the test panel first.
It just occurred to me that epoxy softens up hugely with a heat gun. Perhaps heating it with a heat gun might help.
