It looks like we might tackle the original design this weekend (depends on a camping trip). I also went ahead and ordered the Fast touring 15 plans from Clark Craft. The 26" beam should be a nice alternative. I don't know if I'll be able to get it built in time for the troop to evaluate or not. Depends on shipping time and available hours.
Our plan is to have two prototypes (one skinned and one not) to present to the troop at the Christmas party. Then let them think about the project and determine if it is a "go" sometime in late January. The biggest hurdle will be finding a space large enough to support a mass build. We have a couple leads on vacant warehouse space.
